Updates From the Field
Across our countries of operation, 2026 is already shaping up as a year of practical progress — building partnerships and expanding access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.
What follows is a snapshot of where work is taking shape and where our focus lies right now.
🇨🇴 Colombia
Partnerships are advancing to deliver more bicycles, helping people access healthcare, education, and livelihoods, with key partners including UNICEF Colombia and CoimpactoB. Work in La Guajira is expanding, and a new microfinance pilot is helping make bicycles more accessible to entrepreneurs, especially women.
🇰🇪 Kenya
Work is underway to support school access in rural counties such as Kajiado, alongside early-stage opportunities to expand into larger education-focused programs.
🇲🇼 Malawi
Leveraging high retention rates, efforts are focused on expanding school access for girls. Working alongside CAMFED, we are reaching students in rural communities and offering mentorship to support their successful completion of secondary education.
🇹🇿 Tanzania
In Tanzania, partnerships are being leveraged to strengthen the bicycle ecosystem in the Lake Zone and Coastal regions, improving mobility for community health workers, students who travel long distances to school, and women engaged in economic activities.
🇺🇬 Uganda
Programs are actively being delivered through partner networks, with a focus on mobilizing community health workers, refugees and farming families (producing Coffee, Dairy and oil seeds) across the country.
🇿🇲 Zambia
We are working hand in hand with organizations such as The Malaria Council and Malaria Partners Zambia, as well as private foundations and donors, to equip community health workers with bicycles—helping extend their reach and strengthen referral systems in rural areas.
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe
Efforts are focused on the three pillars of Health, Education and Livelihoods, by using proven documented success results from Chiredzi which has uplifted communities in a sustainable manner. We are now taking these learnings to Gwanda and Mutoko.
Across all countries, the work is grounded in the same idea: when distance is reduced, access improves — and with it, the opportunities that follow.
